Daniel began his involvement in the wine industry in 1998, working as a cellar hand in the Yarra Valley. Gaining experience in wine making, including a stint in the Rhein-Pfalz in Germany, and a wine-making degree from Charles Sturt University.
Daniel relocated to make wine in Victoria's North East in 2003. Daniel’s passion and focus is with small parcels of high-level premium wines having a fundamental belief that wines are made in the vineyard. As a result Daniel’s philosophy at Beechworth Wine Estates is to have minimal input approach to winemaking so as to allow the wine to express the character of our vineyard, and to allow our wines to reach their full potential.
