Chardonnay Reserve 2017
Aromas of nectarine with a touch of grapefruit and spice are overlaid by flinty, matchstick characters. The palate is elegantly weighted with flavours of white peach and nectarine subtly infused with gun smoke and light dried honey. Well balanced acidity with excellent length and drive. Enjoy now or cellar up to 7 years.

Very pale for 5yo wine; complex nose with some initial volatility opened up after 10 minutes in glass. Palate is also complex, melon, citrus notes, excellent length.

This wine is drinking nicely now (April 2024).The bouquet includes melon and peach, and the mouth feel is smooth and balanced. Some nutty flavour has developed with age. I think it is a good buy at this price, comparable to other Beechworth Chardonnay that costs much much more.
